🇺🇸SoftBank's Hundred-Billion-Dollar Plan Aims to Replicate the "Shenzhen Model"

SoftBank plans to invest up to $1 trillion in the United States, aiming to replicate the large-scale manufacturing cluster model of Shenzhen, China, and bring high-end technology manufacturing back to the US. The project is named "Land of Crystals". Masayoshi Son is communicating with US government officials to seek incentives such as tax breaks and is actively approaching technology companies like TSMC (which has invested $165 billion in building factories in the US) and Samsung for cooperation. Although SoftBank has held talks with officials including the US Commerce Secretary, TSMC's intention to participate and its specific role remain unclear. The project is still in the initial stage, and its success depends on government support. Previously, SoftBank has spent $6.5 billion on acquiring Ampere and promised to invest up to $4 billion in OpenAI (with $10 billion coming from other investors). Recently, it also sold shares of T-Mobile to raise $4.8 billion.
