Multiple Studies Reveal the Profound Impact of AI on Human Language
Multiple studies indicate that artificial intelligence represented by ChatGPT is changing human language habits. An analysis by the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Germany found that in the 18 months after the release of ChatGPT, the usage frequency of some commonly used AI words such as "delve" in academic videos increased by 51%, becoming a "linguistic watermark" phenomenon.
Researchers also warn that this impact may undermine trust in communication and marginalize non-standard dialects. AI systems tend to use standardized language, which may cause users to lose the language traits that express personality and emotion, thus raising concerns about language homogenization and the loss of ideological autonomy.
