The report states, "During the game, Gemini 2.5 Pro encounters various situations that cause the model to simulate 'panic'." This "panicked" state may lead to a decline in model performance as the AI may suddenly stop using some available tools for a period of time. Although the AI does not think or experience emotions, its behavior mimics the way humans make poor, hasty decisions under pressure.
