ByteDance Announces the Launch of Doubao Large Model 1.6 and Video Model Seedance 1.0

ByteDance's Volcano Engine held a conference to release new models such as Doubao Large Model 1.6 and video generation model Seedance 1.0 pro, and upgraded AI cloud-native services like the Agent development platform. According to Tan Dai, President of Volcano Engine, the Doubao 1.6 series of models support multimodal understanding and graphical interface operations, and can understand and handle real-world problems. The Doubao video generation model Seedance 1.0 pro also made an appearance at the Volcano Engine Force conference. This model supports text and image input and can generate high-quality 1080P videos with seamless multi-shot switching, featuring high subject motion stability and naturalness of the picture. On the well-known evaluation list Artificial Analysis, Seedance ranked first in both text-to-video and image-to-video tasks, surpassing excellent models such as Veo3 and Keling 2.0.
