GitHub Leaks Trump Administration's Plan to Accelerate AI Application
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) prematurely leaked the code of the "ai.gov" website on GitHub. The platform was scheduled to launch on July 4th, aiming to integrate AI tools from companies such as OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic, and include features for analyzing the use of AI across various government departments.
The GSA's Technology Transformation Service, led by former Tesla engineer Thomas Shedd, is driving this project, planning to develop a general AI programming agent and contract analysis system for the government. However, internal employees are concerned about potential security vulnerabilities and decision-making errors. Currently, the ai.gov domain still redirects to the White House official website.
