OpenAI has launched o3-pro, which the company claims is its most capable AI model to date. O3-pro is an enhanced version of the inference model o3 that OpenAI introduced earlier this year. Unlike traditional AI models, inference models solve problems step by step, making their performance more reliable in fields such as physics, mathematics, and programming. o3-pro will be available to ChatGPT Professional and Team users starting Tuesday, replacing the o1-pro model. OpenAI said that enterprise and education users will be able to use the model next week. O3-pro will also go live in OpenAI's developer API this afternoon. The API pricing for o3-pro is $20 per million input tokens and $80 per million output tokens.
