Protesters Tried to Interrupt Apple Executives' Speeches at WWDC
A protester attempted to disrupt the opening of Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference. During Apple's in-person event, Craig Federighi, the software chief, was delivering the opening remarks to the attendees on stage when the protester started shouting. The protester walked in, unzipped his jacket, and revealed a headscarf. He also held up a badge, seemingly saying "I work for Apple," but his words were barely audible. The protester spoke for about 30 seconds and was then escorted out by security. Throughout this, Federighi continued with his speech. At last month's Microsoft Build conference, a Microsoft employee interrupted CEO Satya Nadella's keynote speech with a "Free Palestine" protest. A day later, a Palestinian technician interrupted the speech of Jay Parikh, Microsoft's head of core artificial intelligence.
