Google Gemini Can Now Handle Scheduled Tasks Like an Assistant
Google is taking a new step towards making Gemini a more useful assistant. Google is rolling out "Scheduled Actions", a feature that AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers can use to ask the AI assistant to perform tasks at specific times, such as providing a calendar summary at the end of each day, or generating blog post ideas every Monday. Google says users can also use this feature to have Gemini complete one-time tasks, such as asking for a summary of an awards ceremony the day after it ends. The company wrote in the post announcing the change, "Just tell Gemini what you need and when you need it, and Gemini will take care of the rest." Google Gemini subscribers can go to the "Scheduled Actions" page in the Gemini app settings to manage scheduled tasks.
