According to Reuters: Some top researchers at OpenAI are looking to jump ship to SSI, a new company founded by Ilya Sutskever.

To retain them, OpenAI is offering them a $2 million retention bonus.

And it has promised that if they stay, they can also get stock options worth over $20 million.

According to two people with knowledge of the matter, some employees only need to continue working for one year to receive the full bonus.

Both SSI and OpenAI declined to comment on the matter.
