Google has postponed the launch of its "Ask Your Photos" AI search feature.
Google Delays Rollout of Its "Ask Photos" AI Search Feature
Jamie Aspinall, a product manager at Google Photos, wrote on the X platform that Google will delay the rollout of the "Ask Photos" feature by approximately two weeks. According to Aspinall, the product has not yet met the standards in terms of latency, quality, and user experience. Although some users can already use the feature at present, he said that a new version will be launched in about two weeks, aiming to address these issues. Google first announced the "Ask Photos" feature at its annual Google I/O developer conference last year. Leveraging Google's Gemini AI model, the "Ask Photos" feature allows users to search their Google Photos library using natural language prompts. For example, users can request to select one excellent photo as a sample from each set of photos taken during their visits to national parks. Google has not responded to requests for comment.
