Reddit sues Anthropic, alleging content infringement in AI training
Reddit Sues Anthropic, Alleging Content Infringement for AI Training
On June 4, the social platform Reddit officially sued the artificial intelligence company Anthropic, accusing it of using the content on the Reddit platform to train its AI models without permission. Reddit claims that since last July, Anthropic has illegally accessed its data more than 100,000 times.
Reddit emphasizes that this act constitutes unauthorized commercial exploitation and infringes on user data. The company states that although it believes in an open internet, this does not mean that content can be commercially exploited for free. It has already reached agreements on AI content authorization with other technology giants such as OpenAI and Google. Anthropic has not commented on this matter for the time being.
