She warned, "Our research has repeatedly found that AI chatbots are not reliable sources of news and information, especially for breaking news." The agency's research found that ten mainstream chatbots are prone to repeating misinformation, including Russian disinformation narratives, as well as false or misleading claims related to the recent Australian general election.
