Google Releases "AI Edge Gallery" App, Supporting Local Running of AI Models

Google has recently quietly launched the experimental app "Google AI Edge Gallery", which allows users to run open-source AI models from Hugging Face offline on Android devices. These models cover tasks such as image generation, question-answering, code editing, etc. An iOS version is coming soon. The app has a built-in "Prompt Lab" that supports single-round inference operations using models like Gemma 3n. Users need to manually download the APK installation package from GitHub.
