Gemini now automatically summarizes your long emails

Google Workspace users will see more efforts by Gemini to summarize their emails. Gmail now automatically generates summaries for complex email threads, and the summaries will be displayed above the emails. AI-driven email summaries have been available in Google Workspace accounts since last year, but until now, users had to trigger them manually. Instead, Google's AI will now decide on its own when a summary might be helpful and generate summaries for longer email threads or messages with multiple replies without a request. The summary of an email thread will be kept updated as new replies arrive. The automatic summaries will now be displayed above English emails, but only on mobile devices, and it may take up to two weeks to roll out.
