In the past few days, multiple users reported that when they asked Google what year it is, the AI Overview replied that it's currently 2024. Google finally fixed this bug later on Thursday. When asked about the reason, Google didn't give a clear explanation, only saying that it's updating the system to prevent similar situations from happening again. A Google spokesperson said in a statement: "Like all search features, we are rigorously improving and updating the system through such cases. The vast majority of AI Overviews can provide useful and accurate information, and we are actively updating to address such issues."
