The first children's health report recently released by the "Make America Healthy Again" committee led by US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy contains multiple serious errors in its cited references. At least seven of the cited studies "simply do not exist", and several scholars have publicly denied writing the papers claimed to be cited in the report. Some of the citation links were even found to carry the "oaicite" mark generated by AI tools such as ChatGPT.

In response, the White House Press Secretary said the relevant issues stemmed from "formatting problems" and would not affect the main content of the report. It was also stated that the report was updated on the White House website later on the 29th, removing the non-existent studies and replacing some of the questioned links. However, given Kennedy's consistent anti-vaccine stance and some of the report's arguments, this incident has sparked widespread concern in the scientific community about its future policy orientation.
