Hugging Face Unveils Two New Humanoid Robots
The artificial intelligence development platform Hugging Face continued to expand into the robotics field on Thursday local time, unveiling two new humanoid robots. The company announced the launch of two open-source robots: HopeJR and Reachy Mini. HopeJR is a full-sized humanoid robot with 66 degrees of actuation freedom, meaning 66 independent movements, including the ability to walk and move its arms. Clément Delangue, co-founder and CEO of the company, said they expect to start shipping the first few units at least by the end of this year, and a waiting list is now open. Hugging Face estimates that each HopeJR will cost around $3,000, while each Reachy Mini will cost approximately $250 to $300, depending on tariffs.
