Developers Launch AI Tool that Can Infer Users' Locations and Backgrounds by Analyzing YouTube Comments

A new website named "YouTube-Tools" has recently launched. It can scrape YouTube users' historical comments and use AI to generate background analysis reports, predicting their possible places of residence, language abilities, and socio-political inclinations. This tool is developed based on Mistral's large language model. The developers claim that its original intention was to assist the police and private detectives in investigations. However, currently, anyone can register and use it by paying approximately $20 without identity verification, raising concerns about privacy leakage and harassment abuse.

The website claims to have data on 1.4 billion users and 20 billion comments. Although the terms of service state that it is only for law enforcement and professional investigation purposes, there is no actual review during the registration process. A reporter from 404 Media successfully obtained access just by using an email and a credit card. This project originated from the previous "LoL-Archiver" and also covers chat and comment records from platforms such as Twitch and Kick.
