Anthropic Launches Voice Mode for Claude AI Assistant

Anthropic has started rolling out a "voice mode" for its Claude chatbot app. According to Anthropic's official account on X and the updated documentation on the company's website, the voice mode, which is currently in the testing phase, allows users of the Claude mobile app to "have full spoken conversations with Claude." The feature will be launched in English in the coming weeks. At least one X user reported getting access to the voice mode later on Tuesday. By default, the feature is powered by Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4 model. The support page reads, "Voice mode enables you to talk to Claude and hear the responses via voice, making it easier to use Claude when your hands are busy but your mind is free." With voice mode, users can discuss things like documents and images and choose from five different voice options.
