Artificial intelligence startup Anthropic launched the large language model Claude 4 on Thursday local time. It can work continuously for seven hours, completing an almost full work shift like a human. Claude 4 comes in two versions, namely Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4. Both models are designed to better follow instructions and operate more autonomously when handling tasks such as writing code and answering complex questions. It is reported that Claude Opus 4 is "the world's best coding model" and can work automatically for an almost full work shift - 7 hours. Both AI models can help users search for information on the web and switch between reasoning and tool use. If the user permits, they can also read files on the user's computer, identify important information and save it, thus better assisting the user.
