Microsoft and its biggest competitors in selling and leasing computing power, including Amazon and Google, are vying to become the platform for building and deploying AI applications. This has turned the competition to host the latest models and build sophisticated control mechanisms to manage how these models are used into a battlefield. Microsoft said that customers of its Azure cloud service can access more than 1,900 AI model variants, including models from its close partners OpenAI, Meta, and DeepSeek. xAI's Grok 3 and Grok 3 mini will be available on Microsoft's Azure AI Foundry.
