Google May Launch an Annual Subscription Plan for Gemini Advanced

Google is considering offering an annual subscription option for Gemini Advanced users to reduce long-term usage costs. Currently, users can only access the service through the Google One AI Premium monthly payment plan ($19.99 per month). Although the basic and advanced versions of Google One support annual payments, they do not include the Gemini Advanced feature.

Josh Woodward, Vice President of Google Labs, confirmed on the X platform that the company has started developing an annual fee plan. If the existing pricing strategy continues, the annual fee may be set at $199.99, saving users approximately $40 compared to monthly payments. This move can not only reduce user churn but also stabilize Google's cash flow.
