🤖Grok Launches Memory Feature: Remembers All Conversations and Can Provide Personalized Replies
Grok, the chatbot developed by Elon Musk's xAI, has introduced a new "memory" feature that can remember all of a user's historical conversations and offer personalized suggestions. This feature is currently available in beta on grok.com as well as the Grok iOS and Android apps, except in the EU and the UK. Users can turn off the memory feature in the settings or use the "private chat" mode to prevent Grok from storing conversation information. In the iOS app, the "Use Memory for Personalization" option is turned off by default and users need to select to turn it on. Users can view what Grok has remembered and choose to delete it. Grok's responses will display snippets of the referenced historical conversations, and users can select "Forget" to prevent Grok from referencing them again. This feature has been launched on the web version and will soon be available on Android. Other AI chatbots, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Meta AI, and Copilot, also have similar memory features.
