Google Plans to Integrate Its Gemini and Veo AI Models
Demis Hassabis, the CEO of Google DeepMind, recently stated in the Possible podcast co-hosted by Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, that Google plans to eventually combine its Gemini model with the Veo video generation model to enhance the former's understanding of the physical world. Hassabis said, "We built the Gemini foundation AI model as multimodal from the start. The reason for this is that we have a vision for the concept of a general digital assistant, that is, to create an assistant that can truly help you in the real world." The AI industry is gradually moving towards the so - called "omnipotent" models, which can understand and synthesize various forms of media. These omnipotent models require a large amount of training data such as images, videos, audio, text, etc. Veo's video data mainly comes from YouTube.
