Google Launches A2A, an Interaction Protocol for AI Agents

Today, Google has introduced a brand - new open protocol named Agent2Agent (A2A), which has received support and contributions from over 50 technology partners such as Atlassian, MongoDB, PayPal, Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow. The A2A protocol will enable AI agents to communicate with each other, exchange information securely, and coordinate operations across various enterprise platforms or applications. Regardless of the underlying technology, AI agents can collaborate seamlessly to automate complex enterprise workflows and drive unprecedented levels of efficiency and innovation. A2A complements the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which already provides agents with practical tools and context. A2A will bring an improvement in inter - agent interoperability. The project has been open - sourced on GitHub.
