Anthropic Launches $200/Month Claude Subscription

On Wednesday, Anthropic announced the launch of a new and very expensive subscription plan for its AI chatbot Claude: Max. Compared to Anthropic's own $20-per-month Claude Pro subscription, the Max subscription has more relaxed usage limits, and users can also get priority access to the company's latest AI models and features. Somewhat confusingly, there are two versions of the Max subscription with different pricing and usage limits. One is the $100-per-month Max tier, which has a rate limit 5 times higher than Claude Pro; the other is the $200-per-month Max tier, with a rate limit as high as 20 times that of Claude Pro. White, Anthropic's head of product, said in an interview that the company does not rule out the possibility of launching more expensive subscription plans in the future.
