Democratic Senators Question Google and Microsoft's Respective AI Collaborations

Two U.S. Democratic senators have asked Microsoft and Google to provide information about their cloud computing partnerships with artificial intelligence companies and expressed concerns that these arrangements could stifle competition in the cutting-edge industry. U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon sent letters to the two companies, asking Google and Microsoft to provide information about their partnerships with AI startups Anthropic and OpenAI, respectively.
