Microsoft has fired two employees who protested the company's provision of artificial intelligence technology to the Israeli military at the company's 50th anniversary celebration. The protest took place last Friday when software engineer Ibtisam Abusalh took to the stage and shouted at Microsoft's Chief AI Officer Mustafa Suleyman: "You claim to care about using AI for good, but Microsoft sells AI weapons to the Israeli military.
