A survey by DeskTime shows that ChatGPT remains the most widely used AI tool in offices globally. As of December 2024, 75.9% of offices worldwide have incorporated it into their workflows, with India leading at a 92% usage rate. The usage rate in the United States increased from 68% in 2023 to 72% in 2024, but it is still below the global average.

The survey also found that the proportion of individual US employees using ChatGPT increased significantly from 17% in 2023 to 28.3% in 2024. However, the overall usage rate of AI tools at the company level decreased slightly, from 76% in 2023 to 75% in 2024. The AI usage rate fluctuated greatly throughout the year, which may be related to seasonal work trends or company policies.
